The sunset tour begins around 5 pm. It takes almost 40 minutes to cross the orange dunes of Erg Chebbi on top of a camel. Then, the camels will leave you for about 80 meters from the highest dune of Merzouga. Those, who wants to see a panoramic view, they will have to climb to the top, it will take another 10 minutes. If you do not prefer to climb the highest dunes, the area near camels is perfect to watch the sunset too. After enjoying that short time we travel back to the village, stopping by at the gardens (depending on your wish) for a short explanation of the canal system.
